how to cook Quick and easy hummus


Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: no cooking required

1 can (540 ml / 19 oz) chickpeas with reduced sodium, rinsed and drained
60 ml (1/4 cup) of tahini (sesame seed paste)
5 ml (1 tsp.) Ground cumin
60 ml (1/4 cup) vegetable broth reduced sodium
2 ml (1/2 tsp.) Grated lemon zest
15 ml (1 tbsp.) Lemon juice
30 ml (2 tbsp.) Of water (or more if desired)
1 clove garlic, minced
In the bowl of a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini and cumin. Mix roughly the robot. Add broth, lemon zest, lemon juice and water. Add more water if necessary to obtain a smooth texture to hummus. Mix until very smooth. Stir in garlic.

Makes 500 ml (2 cups) of hummus.
